March against femicide and gender violence in Santiago

The day of protests was originated in Argentina after the brutal crime in which the victim, Lucia Perez, 16 year old girl was drugged, raped and murdered in Mar del Plata, extending to Chile after cases of violence that have shaken the opinion public. The most recent was the murder of Florencia Aguirre, nine-year-old girl, who was was asphyxiated with a bag, placed in a garbage dump and burned while still alive by her stepfather in the city of Coyhaique, in southern Chile.
