Poland exhumes President Kaczynski body in inquiry of 2010 plane crash

Cars with coffins of President Lech Kaczynski and First Lady Maria Kaczynski leave the Wawel Castle, around 1:00 am on Tuesday, 15th of November. The remains will be examined by a team of experts from the Department of Forensic Medicine in Krakow. The 2010 crash near Smolensk in Russia spawned a number of conspiracy theories, with senior political figures in Poland claiming that the Russian government was responsible. Prosecutors want to check that President Kaczynski’s remains were correctly identified and examined. On Tuesday, 15 November 2016, in Wawel Castle, Krakow, Poland. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
