Poland missed deadline for plastic bag phase-out plan

Drawer full of plastic shopping bags is seen in flat in Gdynia, Poland, on 1st December 2016. Poland is among six European Union countries that missed the European Commission’s deadline to submit plans to limit the use of plastic shopping bags. European Union citizens currently use 100 billion bags per year and that amounts to 200 bags per person each year. (Photo by Michal Fludra/NurPhoto)
