Festival of Lights in Amsterdam
Deputy Head of Embassy Israel , Gideon Lustig at the Dam Square in Amsterdam on December 29, 2016 to celebrates Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights. Hanukkah, which means “dedication,” is the festival that commemorates the purification and re dedication of the Temple following the defilement caused by the Greeks during their occupation of that holy place. During the event people danced, and also they could enjoy of hot soup and the sufganiyot, a round jelly doughnut eaten in Israel and around the world on the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.
