Civil Rights Activists March On Washington To Commemorate Martin Luther King Jr

On Saturday, January 14, 2017, in Washington, DC, about 2,000 gathered on a cold rainy morning for the “We Shall Not Be Moved” march, organized by Rev. Al Sharpton’s organization, National Action Network (NAN). The march started on the Washington Monument grounds, and culminated in the park across the street for the MLK Memorial with closing remarks from Sharpton and other Civil Rights leaders and advocates.
