Migrant Cambodian workers register their names and leave their fingerprints with Thai military personnel before they are transported to the border and return home during a mass exodus of Cambodian immigrants from Thailand, Aranyaprathet Town Centre, Aranyaprathet/Poipet, Thailand. Fearing a crackdown on illegal immigration from the Thai military, over 120,000 Cambodian migrants are reported to have crossed the border and returned to Cambodia in one week. Estimates suggest that at least 150,000 legal and illegal migrants from Cambodia were working in Thailand before the exodus, typically in the construction and service industries.
