Farmers heading to Greek-FYROM borders to protest

Farmers from the area of Paionia, Polikastro and around in central Macedonia in Greece are heading to the Greek - FYROM borders near Evzoni village to protest and show their requests to the government and make them wideknown. Their protest is again the raising cultivation cost, raising social insurance fees and taxes. Farmers were stopped a few kilometers before the borders from the roadblock that police did with at least 5 squads of riot police. Farmers couldn't reach the customs/boreders so stayed on the sideways of the Eurpean highway E75 connecting Athens and Greece with Europe and Balkans. They are waiting more support the following days with more tractors. (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
