Rohingya Refugees in Kutupalong Refugee Camp

Noor Alam is a new Rohingya refugee in Kutupalong refugee camp, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Burmese army shot his leg while fleeing from Myanmar. February 7, 2017. After attacks by Rohingya militants on border police posts on October 9, 2016, the Burmese military undertook a series of “clearance operations” in northern Rakhine State. Security forces summarily executed men, women, and children; looted property; and burned down at least 1,500 homes and other buildings. More than 69,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh.
