Rohingya Refugees in Kutupalong Refugee Camp
A Rohingya refugee is setting up a tube well in Kutupalong Refugee camp, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. February 7, 2017. After attacks by Rohingya militants on border police posts on October 9, 2016, the Burmese military undertook a series of “clearance operations” in northern Rakhine State. Security forces summarily executed men, women, and children; looted property; and burned down at least 1,500 homes and other buildings. More than 69,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh. Currently the number is around 70,000. (Photo by Turjoy Chowdhury/NurPhoto)
