International Women's Day In Amsterdam

On March 8th, the International Women's day was held in Amsterdam with a demonstration that started at the Dam square, followed by a march around the center of the city, and ending at the "Café Belcampo", with some performances and a presentation about the history of the Women's day. International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. The event was organized by "8 maartcomité", an independent initiative group of active women from different organizations and backgrounds, who are committed to the organization of militant celebration of the International Women's Day in Amsterdam.
