A fragment of a three pieces John Arden's painting on display inside Liberty Hall in Dublin. The theree scenes show: -James Connolly, born among the Irish in Edinburgh who can find no work, so joins the army and is sent to Ireland. There he discovers Irish nationalism and international socialism, and finds his political destiny ; -The Industrial machine, headed by Queen Victoria in the shape of Britannia, turns unemployed people into soldiers ; -In Ireland soldiers, supporting absetee landlords, enforce evictions of tenant farmers.
