Air Pollution in Sao Paulo

A general view of Sao Paulo, on April 4, 2017. Pollution rates in São Paulo are twice as high as the ceiling established by the World Health Organization (WHO) to consider acceptable air quality. The data is part of a survey that analyzes the situation of 3,000 cities around the world. The survey focuses on the evaluation of PM 2.5 particles, the smallest and with the greatest potential to directly affect the lungs. A city can only be considered to have clean air if it presents an average of at most 10 micrograms of PM 2,5 per cubic meter. Any value above poses a health risk.
