Holy Thursday in Madrid
Holy Thursday is celebrated with the procession of the church of San Pedro, Jesus «El Pobre» accompanied by the Holy Mary of the Sweet Name in his Soledad. With 1,800 cofrades, the brotherhood is the second most numerous in Madrid, after Jesus de Medinaceli, and one of the oldest, with almost eight decades. The size of the Nazarene, from the eighteenth century, is officially anonymous, and various currents discuss its authorship, as well as the origin of his nickname "El Pobre", in Madrid, Spain, Thursday, April 13, 2017.
