Nepalese Hindu Celebrates Mother's Day

Mother's day or Matatritha Aunshi is celebrated on Baishak Krishna Ausi according to Lunar calendar. On this auspicious day, people pay homage to their mothers giving her gifts and foods including sweets and fruits. Those who have already lost his/her mother visit Matatritha Temple.
