A view of remains of the controversial PKO Rotunda building after demolition seen from the Palace of Culture and Science side. On January 20, 2015, the conservator of monuments from Warsaw issued a decision permitting the demolition of the building, due to the fact that its construction is not original and was built during the renovation after the 1979 explosion. On March 10, 2017, the Rotunda was demolished, then a week after the conservator of historic places issued a warrant to stop the demolition work, because it turned out that the previous decision to demolish the building was issued on the basis of incorrect premises (it was found that the construction is original). On Tuesday, April 26, 2017, in Warsaw, Poland. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
