Protest against plans to cut welfare spending in Denmark

Thousands of people took to the streets of Copenhagen on 10 May to protest the governments planned cuts on welfare spending. The protest comes as an analysis from the Economic Council of the Labour Movement think tank reveals that the total number of Danes considered to be living in poverty has more than doubled from 18,650 in 2002 to 44,141 in 2015.
