Corpus Christi procession in Krakow

Every year 60 days after Easter, the catholic procession walks through the streets of Krakow during the Feast of Corpus Christi. By tradition, Catholics take part in a procession through the streets of a neighborhood near their parish following mass. The Eucharist, known as the Blessed Sacrament, is placed in a monstrance, ostensorium and is held aloft by a member of the clergy during the procession. After the procession, parishioners return to the church for the benediction. Corpus Christi is a public holiday in Poland.
