Anniversary of attack on Holey Artisan Cafe in Bangladesh

A candle light vigil was held at Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka, on July 1, 2017 in memory of the victims of Holey Artisan Bakery attack. Five young men armed with guns and knives stormed the cafe on July 1, 2016 taking dozens hostage and killing 22 people. Most of the victims were foreigners, and many were brutally hacked to death.
