Daily Life in Rzeszow
A view of Monument to the Revolutionary Act in Rzeszow. The founder of the monument was the 1st secretary of the Polish United Workers' Party in Rzeszow Wladyslaw Kruczek. Works started in 1967. The Nike sculpture is on one side and on the other side there are three persons: a peasant, soldier and worker with the banner of revolution. The foundations consisted of several dozen reinforced concrete piles of about 10 m in length. The leaves of the laureate consist of 37 pairs of reinforced concrete segments more than one meter high. The statue was solemnly unveiled on May 1, 1974 . The cost of building the monument was 10,812,926.44 PZL. The avant-garde shape of the monument has been a source of controversy since the very beginning. He awakens various associations unrelated to his official symbolism like donkey ears or female genitals. On Friday, July 14, 2017, in Rzeszow, Poland. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
