Makeshift camp with Africans, outside Moria refugee camp, Lesvos island, Greece

The makeshift camp, outside of the official Moria refugee camp, detentions center and first reception center. In this place stay mostly Afticans, who have been expeled or the facilities run out of space.Specially after the clashes and the fire in the camp many Africans left it and stay outside. They are given officially 1,5L of water per day and they dont have any access to running water, medical care, electricity, AC, kitchen etc. Also they receive 2 little and low quality meals. The place is arid and during the summer the temperatures are between 30-40°C. People from Africa complain about their long delays in the asylum services, thing that lead to fights sometimes with the Arabs. Moria camp is located in Lesvos island. Images are a day after fire and burning big tents, after police and migrant clashes because of the anouncement of deportation. After the fire thousand of migrants left the camps and lived outside, without electricity, running water or AC. Now in Moria are more than 3000 refugees and migrants who traveled through dinghies and smugglers from the Turkish coast. (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
