Sumateran Tiger Rehabilitation in West Sumatera

Mr. HASHIM DJOJOHADIKUSUMO (right) and Mr. WILSON as the expertise of Sumateran Tiger habitat from Universitas Andalas West Sumatera having a discussion at the enclosure area. The Sumatran tiger (panthera tigris sumatrae) named Leony was released in a 50x50 meter enclosure in the Dharmasraya Sumatran Rehabilitation Center (PR-HSD) in Dharmasraya, West Sumatra, on 29 July 2017. Leony, who is a confiscated tiger from the villagers, is now rehabilitated in PR-HSD, before Leony was treated in a cage at 3x4 meter in Animal Sanctuary Trust Indonesia (ASTI) Bogor, West Java. The release was meet on the tiger day and remind to the world that Sumateran Tiger is part of world natural health with only arround 300 left at Sumatera Area. (Photo by Donal Husni/NurPhoto)
