Traditional gastronomy sector is part of the Carioca culture
In the city of Rio de Janeiro, traditional businesses in the gastronomy sector are protected by municipal law. One of the examples is Armazem Senado, a traditional bar founded in 1907 by Portuguese immigrants where until today it maintains the same atmosphere of the time of its foundation. The family that currently manages the place is also of Portuguese descent. In the warehouse are sold hundreds of options of drinks, snacks typical of the old bars of the city. On Fridays a traditional samba wheel is performed and the place is crowded. On August 05, 2017, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: (Photo by Luiz Souza/NurPhoto)
