September 12 Shame Museum is Held in Ankara

A gallows is pictured on the opening day of the September 12 Shame Museum, which is held with the help of the main opposition Republican People's Party's (CHP) Cankaya Municipality in Ankara, Turkey on September 08, 2017. The museum is held as an exhibition as it will be taking place between September 08 and September 23. The museum commemorates the victims of the September 12, 1980 Turkish coup d'etat, as the coup was headed by Chief of the General Staff General Kenan Evren, in which 50 people were executed, 500,000 were arrested and hundreds died in prison.
