Protest Against Redempion Penality

Left-wing militants protest against the reduction of the criminal majority at Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 27, 2017. By 10 votes to eight, the CCJ (Senate Committee on Constitution and Justice) postponed on Wednesday morning (27) the analysis of four PECs (Proposals for Amendment to the Constitution) that suggest a reduction in the age of criminality from 18 to 16 The vote of the SGPs must take place within 30 days in the CCJ of the Senate. Advocates of reducing the age of criminality say that the prospect of impunity because of the age causes that under the age of 18 years commit diverse types of crimes, among them robberies and murders.
