Re-Watching The Coup History Movie
Peoples enthusiastically watched a docudrama film of the September 30 Movement of the Indonesian Communist Party (G30S/PKI) in Wanasari Village, Bekasi District, West Java, on Saturday, September 30, 2017. After being banned on 1998, after the fall of the Old Regime, the film about a coup attemp by the Indonesian Communist Party involving high military officials on September 30, 1965, known as G30S/PKI, was again allowed to be screened after the Indonesian Military Commander, General Gatot Nurmantyo, urged the public to return to watch the film. Despite the pros and cons of presuming the film as a propaganda of the Old Regime, the reason for reminding peoples against the dangers of coup, as well as preventing rise of the Communist in Indonesia, made the film again allowed to be watched.
