Anniversary of Vasyl Pylypyuk death
A man read a 'New Sunday' local paper inside Vasyl Pylypyuk's photo gallery. Two months ago, on November 18, 2017, Vasyl Pylypyuk, the 67-year-old Ukrainian photographer, winner of the National Taras Shevchenko Prize, died from a stroke on his way home from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, where he worked as the head of the department of photography. Vasyl Pylypiuk, was one of the greatest historians-photographers of Ukraine, a real poet of photography, a master of light and shadow, documenting a 20th-century Ukraine. On Sunday, January 14, 2018, in Lviv, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
