Hyundai Motor to contribute US$46 Million Support SME

South Korea's largest automotive conglomerate Hyundai Motor Group joined hands with the government Wednesday to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the face of the recent minimum wage hike, the SMEs ministry said. The group, which has the country's No. 1 carmaker Hyundai Motor Co. and the smaller affiliate Kia Motors Corp. under its wing, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to contribute 50 billion won (US$46.4 million) for its subcontractors hit by the minimum wage increase, the ministry said.
