Pahlevani - traditional Persian warrior training in Iran
Pahlevani and zoorkhaneh rituals in Yazd city, Iran. Originally dating back to the Persian Empire but also adapting elements from Islam it is the traditional martial art and training in Iran. It is recognized by UNESCO as the world's longest running form of training. The ritual requires music and a main instructor. They use also meels for their training and some movements like a spin dance. During the session visitors male and female can be present and tea is offered.
