Sri Lanka Bond dealer Arjun Aloysius arrest in Colombo

Sri Lankan Bond dealer, Arjun Aloysius ( dressed in a white shirt and a blue tie with white stripes) who is embroiled in an insider trading scam at Sri Lanka's Central Bank walks into a Magistrate Court escorted by police officers in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday 16 February 2018. Aloysius is the son-in-law of former Governor of Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran and both have been accused of manipulating treasury bond auctions causing a loss of over US$11 million to the state during 2015 and 2016. A special committee appointed by Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena produced a presidential report into the high-profile bond scandal named Mahendran and Aloysius as guilty and recommended the state to recover its losses from them. The judge refused Aloysius's request for bail and remanded him further till March 2. (Photo by Tharaka Basnayaka/NurPhoto)
