Sri Lanka Bond dealer Arjun Aloysius arrest in Colombo

Aloysius is the son-in-law of former Governor of Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran and both have been accused of manipulating treasury bond auctions causing a loss of over US$11 million to the state during 2015 and 2016. A special committee appointed by Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena produced a presidential report into the high-profile bond scandal named Mahendran and Aloysius as guilty and recommended the state to recover its losses from them.
