Odd-Even Policy In Jakarta Toll Road
Police and Transportation Officers arrange traffic and direct the driver during the entry of odd-even vehicle license codes at the toll gate of West Bekasi, Bekasi, West Java, Monday, March 12, 2018. The government began to apply odd-even rules for private vehicle plates headed to Jakarta at the Jakarta-Cikampek toll, which only allows even numbered plates on even dates, and odd numbered plates on odd dates, from Monday to Friday, from 6-9am. This is in the government's efforts to reduce congestion in the toll roads due to the construction of infrastructure and increased vehicle volume. This rule is claimed to be able to cut up to 2000 units of vehicles per day, or about 20% in the toll road segment. (Photo by Aditya Irawan/NurPhoto)
