Around ten thousands of Primary school teachers demonstrated in Amsterdam

March 14th, Amsterdam. On 14 March 2018, primary education teachers from the North-West of the Netherlands go on strike for higher salaries and lower workloads. A big protest action took place in Amsterdam where a long and vociferous march was held through the heart of the old city centre. The AOb (trade union for teaching staff working in primary education, secondary schools, MBO or higher education institutions in The Netherlands) demands a substantial salary raise as a solution of the situation in the profession.
