Gobeklitepe archeological site in Sanliurfa, Turkey

A new roof was place over the Gobeklitepe archeological site in southern Turkey as preparations are made for its application to the UNESCO world heritage list. During renovations, construction crews have been criticized for pouring concrete on unexcavated areas of the site.
