Acid Attack On Woman on April 4 2018, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The victim was identified as Aklima Khatun, 25, wife of Zobayer Hossain. Zobayer said when Aklima along with her daughter was going to a local school in the morning a young man hurled acid on her.Locals rushed to the spot after hearing Aklima’s scream but the miscreant managed to flee, he said. The victim is now undergoing treatment at the Burn and Plastic Surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), said Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.Dr Partha Sankar Pal, residential surgeon of the Burn and Plastic Surgery unit, said 5 percent of Aklima’s body was burnt while her right eye, throat and shoulder were severely burnt.
