Durga Puja Festival

Indian artisans work on clay idols of Hindu deities at their workshop in Agartala, capital of the North Eastern state of Tripura. The Idole makers are working day night in the raine to complit the idoles in the right time. The five-day Durga Puja festival commemorates the slaying of a demon king Mahishasur by goddess Durga, marking the triumph of good over evil. The Durga Puja festival will be celebrated from October 11 to 14, and is the biggest religious event for Bengali Hindus. Hindus believe that the goddess Durga symbolises power and the triumph of good over evil. (Photo by Abhisek Saha/NurPhoto)
