March against University reform in Paris

Students demonstrating against the Vidal Law, the reform of the baccalaureate and the selection at the entrance of the universities, on April 10, 2018 in Paris, France. The sign says: "Let's Save the University" on the gates of the closed Jussieu University. In Paris between 3 to 6,000 people took to the streets in order to protest the announced reform of university access by the Macron government. They marched from La Sorbonne to the Jussieu University. The gates of the later were closed and some tried to enter and start an occupation of the place unsuccessfully. Private security guards, university staff and CRS (French police) prevented anybody to access the campus of Jussieu. Paris (75), Paris. (Photo by Jan Schmidt-Whitley/NurPhoto)
