The 120th Rally Paris-Amsterdam

Solar car is seen on April 28th, in Nijmegen, Netherland during commemorating of the 120th Anniversary of this spectacular Motorsport event Rally Paris-Amsterdam. The 1898 The Paris-Amsterdam Rally was a competitive 'city to city' motor race which ran over 7 days from 7–13 July 1898 and covered 1,431 km. This rally was the first international motor race. 120 years later, Classic Events and the KNAC have organized the revival of this event, with a 3 days rally from Paris to Amsterdam. Today the participants running through Nijmegen stopped in the Vereeniging building where around 80 cars from 1899 to 1945 were exposed. The Mayor of Nijmegen Hubert Bruls received the participants in Nijmegen. Also because Nijmegen is this year the European Green Capital, the Nuna7, first four-wheeled solar car was presented by Nuon Solar Team. (Photo by Romy Arroyo Fernandez/NurPhoto)
