Daily Life During Ramadhan 2018 In Jakarta

Muslims conduct worship activities during the holy month of Ramadan at the Lautze mosque a Chinese ornamented mosque in Jakarta, Wednesday, May 30, 2018. The Lautze mosque was founded by the Haji Karim Oei Foundation, which is the name of a Chinese descendant Abdul Karim Oei Tjeng Hien ( 1905-1988). Inaugurated in 1994, the name of the Lautze mosque itself has the meaning of Master in Chinese. In this mosque became a place of ethnic Chinese people to learn and deepen Islam, even many of them eventually embraced Islam. At least since 1997-2018, there are 1,432 Chinese citizens who embrace Islam in this mosque. (Photo by Aditya Irawan/NurPhoto)
