Yemeni Refugees In South Korea
Enan Khaled (37, L) , Naji Hayat(34, R) are taking a walk in a village outside Jeju Island on July 1, 2018 in Jeju, South Korea. Enan had worked as a journalist in Yemen, and in 2014 Houthis came to his house and was shot in the back. In 2016, he escaped to Malaysia with his wife and taught Arabic there. He came to South Korea because he could not afford high medical expenses in Malaysia. When he gets a refugee status, he wants to go to Chungju City because he has his family there. He didn't want to be exposed to the media. Because the family remaining in Yemen can be dangerous. (Photo by Chris Jung/NurPhoto)
