Rhino move to Manas National Park

Two hand reared Rhino make its way to container prior to its release at the Manas National Park from the Kaziranga National Park in Golaghat district in the Indian eastern state of Assam, on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Two sub-adult hand reared rhinos, Gopal and Hari have been shifted to Manas National Park from the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC), Kaziranga. Indian Rhino Vision 2020 aims to increase the total rhino population in Assam from 2,000 to 3,000 by the year 2020 and aims to achieve the goal through increased protection and the translocation of rhino from source populations to target areas.
