Ebola Warriors

Dr. Athena Viscusi, responsible for the mental health section, has been in Liberia since the 19th of September. "I worked in Cholera in Haiti and it seemed, from a mental health perspective, some of the same issues at the beginning of an epidemic: fear, rumors, conspiracy theories, death, loss, grief". The World Health Organization says that more than 4,500 people have died due to the Ebola epidemic in West Africa with a 70 percent mortality rate for those infected with the virus.
