Sumatran Elephant With A Short Trunk
Erin four-year-old elephant Sumatran learned to live with a short trunk in Way Kambas National Park, Lampung, Indonesia on July 16, 2018. The Sumatran elephant Erin was discovered in July 2016 when he was two years old near a residential settlement in the Susukan Baru area of Lampung province, within Way Kambas National Park. She is weak, thin and has pinworms in her intestines. The trunks are broken about 10 cm and the injury falls into the trap Erin short proboscis, an obstacle in reaching food, pushing, and drinking and the handler must give extra care.
