Higher Education in Kabul
Female law class in Mashal institute of higher education, Kabul, Afghanistan. Since 2002, the end of Taliban era (1996-2001) in Afghanistan, number of female students increased from zero to almost 15 000. In August 2012 there were more than 31 public higher education institutes out of which 17 universities, as compared to the year of 2002 where only seven public universities worked with big challenges like shortage of teachers, financial clutches, non-availability of books and virtual detachment from the other educational institutions.
