2 Greek soldiers released from Turkish prison and returned to Greece

Two Greek soldiers have been released from Turkish prisons after 167 days of capture and 6 release request as there haven't been official charges. The soldiers arrived via a government jet at Thessaloniki airport, on August 15, 2018 in honor and the minister of defense Panos Kammenos with the chief of the army Alkiviades Stefanis welcomed them. Among the officials were, Giorgios Katrougalos and Giannis Amanatidis, alternate ministers of foreign affairs. Two soldiers Dimitris Kouklatzis (junior officer) and Aggelos Mitretodis (sergeant) have been captured in the Greek - Turkish borders and have been accused of illegal border trespassing, during a patrol in bad weather.
