Thessaloniki Empty City

Thessaloniki city seen empty on August 15, 2018. 15th of August is a watershed for Greeks as it is the Christian Orthodox celebration day of the Assumption of Mary and people combine it with their holidays. The date is the peak date for Greeks who are leaving the cities and go for holidays. In Thessaloniki the traffic is reduced more than 80% during the peak hours and the city is left mostly with tourists. Even most of the shops are on closed for holidays.
