'Dozhinki' Harvest Festival celebrated in Poland

Harvest Festival "Dozhinki" (Dożynki) took place in Sedziszow, in Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland, on 19 August, 2018. Dozhinki (Polish: Dozynki) has been celebrated in villages and cities all over Poland from mid August to early September every year. Farmers make loaves of bread from the fresh wheat crop and harvest wreaths are made from a mixture of corn, wheat, rye and flowers as part of local competition. (Photo by Beata Zawrzel/NurPhoto)
