"The Last disembark of Carlos V" - Historical Representation

A writer dressed in period costume, attests to the landing of Emperor Charles V on the shores of Laredo, Cantabria, Spain, on 22 September 2018 during the historical representation that takes place in the village. "The Last disembark of Carlos V" turns Laredo, during four days of September, into a thriving Renaissance villa in which the Imperial Court of the abdicated Emperor is given as a previous step to his vital retreat in the Monastery of Yuste (Cáceres) . Precisely, this itinerary from the seashore to Extremadura is evoked in this Villa de Laredo which returns with this party to 1556. Streets, establishments and facades of buildings adorn and adorn the style of that time, with banners and banners evoking the splendor of what was one of the main ports of Castile. This year marks the nineteenth edition of this historic representation.
