Oktoberfest - First Day

Thousands of visitors rush onto the festival area after the official entrance opening to get the best places on the first day of the 2018 Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, on 22 September 2018. Since the Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer celebration and typically draws over six million visitors over its three-week run, authorities announced they will implement heightened security measures, including additional police surveillance, in the area for the duration of the event.
