Pobednik (The Victor) Monument in Belgrade, Serbia
Pobednik (The Victor) Monument in Belgrade, Serbia, located on the hill fortress of Kalemegdan. It honors the victorious armies of Serbia during their struggles against the Ottoman Empire. It was buil in 1928 on a Doric style (ancient Greek style) column by architect Petar Bajalovic and the Sculptor was Ivan Meštrović.
