Sparks fly as a fire bull looks at a reveler during the 'Toro de Jubilo' Fire Bull Festival in Medinaceli, Spain, Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014. "El toro de jubilo" is a festival that takes place in Medinaceli. Every year, on the second weekend of November, as soon as the sun sets, bull are brought into the town square. The bull is surrounded and restrained by participants. During this festival, a bull is tied to a post. Balls are then placed on each horn of the bull and lit a flame. A think layer of mud on the back and face of the bull helps protect the bull from physical injury or burns. The bull is then released by the square, which has 5 fire lit bonfires symbolizing five martyrs. At the end of the event police identified 50 animal right activists and put under arrest 4 more.
