Two Parisian students lay flowers at the grave of French poet Guillaume Apollinaire in Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris on Novembre 8, 2018, during the commemorative events of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. Naturalized as a French citizen in 1916, the poet fought at the front in Champagne as lieutenant of the 96th Infantry Regiment. Weakened from shrapnel injuries, he died just two days before the Armistice on November 9th from the Spanish flu. (Photo by Michel Stoupak/NurPhoto)
